Christopher Stanley: Unima Biostatistics graduate, 2011 Intake

The Biostatistics programme touts another milestone as its recent graduate, Christopher Stanley writes in the history of the programme with a fresh journal publication in the last quarter of 2016. Christopher has published with the Journal of Medical Statistics and Informatics, alongside his supervisors Dr. Mavuto Mukaka and Elizabeth Molyneux. The article is titled "Comparison of Performance of Exponential, Cox Proportional Hazards, Weibull and Frailty Survival models for analysis of small sample size data" and can be accessed using the doi: 10.7243/2053-7662-4-2.

This is the second publication from the same thesis work by Christopher as the candidate also published part of work in the European Journal of Cancer in 2014 during the preliminary work of his thesis. That paper was titled "Kaposi’s sarcoma in Children: An Open Random Trial of Vincristine, Oral Etoposide and a Combination of Vincristine and Bleomycine" and can be accessed through doi: 10.1016/j.ejca.2014.02.019.

Christopher Stanley joined the Biostatistics programme in 2011 and graduated in 2015. His recent publication is the 12th from MSc theses in the programme since its inception in 2010. He is amongst the 8 former students in the programme who published results of their thesis work in reputable international journals.
