Emily Phiri holds the Bachelors degree in Statistics and Computing from The Polytechnic, University of Malawi. She joined the Masters in Biostatistics programme in September 2011.
She is currently working on her research thesis titled “Assessing Community Co-occurrence in The Levels of Child Nutrition in Malawi”. Her supervisor is Professor Samuel Manda.
She is currently working as a Statistician with National Statistical Office. She also previously worked as a Field Monitoring Officer for Pakachere Institute for Health and Development Communication project in Zomba district as well as a Secondary School teacher in Mathematics and Computer studies.
Chancellor College is the largest among the constituent colleges of the University of Malawi. Ever since its establishment, the college has produced graduates who have gone on to become leaders in various sectors of Malawian society.
